INFORMATION FOR FATHER'S DAY FLY-IN PILOTS

When you fly into Columbia, you may camp in the area adjacent to the turf runway 29. This area is available only to pilots and their passengers.

Columbia Airport Fly-In Campground
Columbia Airport offers camping at it’s best!

This fly-in only campground (that means no cars, trucks or motorhomes) offers 20 campsites with tables and areas for additional tents and 5 small and 2 large barbecues (no open fires allowed). There’s running water and a drinking fountain, plus clean bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. The campground is located adjacent to the 2,600 foot irrigated grass runway 29/11 and operated on a first come basis.

Camping area

Pilots can pitch their tents under the wing of their aircraft. There is a horseshoe pit with horseshoes available free at the Airport office, a clubhouse available for fly-in events, operated by the Tuolumne County Aeronautical Association (TCAA) plus, the historic town of Columbia is within walking distance. Use of the clubhouse must be coordinated with TCAA. The camping fee is just $8.00 per airplane, per night. Join us soon for a fun-filled and memorable camping trip!
